Blackboxx Shell Launching Battery System
Whatever your customer demands, whatever performance you design, snap together the appropriate number of Blackboxx battery sections, drop in the shells and you are ready to shoot. No toilsome connecting of fuses! No dangerous loading of lift charge!
How the Blackboxx Battery works:
1. Decide on the number of tubes you need for your battery.
2. Connect a side section to a center section.
3. Add as many center sections as you desire.
4. Finish your Blackboxx battery by adding another side section.
5. Set your Blackboxx battery in place.
6. Attach a safetyfuse, quickfuse, Tapematch or an electric igniter to the bottom of the first Blackboxx shell.
7. Insert that shell in the launching tube labeled "START".
8. Put in as many shells as you want in whatever order of effects you want. You don't need to fill the whole battery. Just follow the loading sequence that goes across the sections of the battery, not down a 9-tube section. You can adjust the shoot time interval in a range from 0.4s to 1.8s by simply rotating the shells.
That's it. Your Blackboxx Batterie is ready to fire.
Warning:Before reloading the Blackboxx launching battery, always make absolutely sure there is no smoldering residue in the tubes!
Blackboxx Shell Launching Battery System...
... is a hi-tech shell launching system that is simple and safe. It guarantees a reliable and repeatable performance that is exactly as was designed by the pyrotechnician. Blackboxx is pyrotechnics of the future. Blackboxx is available today.
The effects come in 1.5", 2.5", 3" and 4" caliber Blackboxx shells. By mid-2004, the first 1.5" shells will be available.
Creativity
With the Blackboxx Launching System you create the battery of your design, quickly, easily and safely. Your battery can be a big and as varied as you like. You choose the effects, you choose the timing - you get what you want. Blackboxx can be one part of the show or Blackboxx can be the whole show.
Flexibility
Flexibility of design and ease of deployment are a major advantage over conventional battery fireworks. Blackboxx batteries load quickly and give you any effect and timing sequence that you like. You determine the number of shots in the battery, attach a fuse or electric igniter to the first shell, load the rest of the shells, adjusting the timing by turning them off center, and you are ready to go.
Uniformity
Uniform burst height is easily achieved by accurate tube manufacture and a good fit with Blackboxx shells as well as uniform burst charge. There is no chance you can forget or mismeasure the lift charge.
Stability
Stability of the battery is ensured by the large footprint of connected Blackboxx battery sections. With a sufficient number of sections snapped together, the Blackboxx Battery is self-standing.
Safety
Safety of the Blackboxx system over conventional systems is enhanced in two ways. Should a shell malfunction, this will cause an interruption in the firing sequence and firing will stop. Also, should a shell not launch but explode in the launch tube, the explosion will be dampened by the surrounding tubes.
Blackboxx's fuseless shells afford a number of advantages. There is no danger of smoldering fuses starting fires. There it no chance of incorrect firing sequence due to incorrect fusing and also no chance of misfiring as shells are not individually fused.
Dependability
Water-resistant construction of Blackboxx battery sections make firing possible even in heavy rain. The tubes are sealed at the bottom, and there are no fuses going in the top that can become wet or allow moisture into the tubes.
Cake box integrity degrades in bad weather, but the Blackboxx system stands tall. Cake boxes are known to be fire hazards especially in strong winds, but Blackboxx Launching System will still serve you reliably in even the most adverse weather conditions.
Usage instructions
1. The first Blackboxx shell that is loaded provides ignition to the whole battery. A piece of safetyfuse, quickfuse, Tapematch or a electric igniter must be attached to the bottom of the first shell and be long enough to rise out of the top of the tube and thus is easily accessible for ignition.
2. The rest of the battery is loaded in a sequence that goes across the sections of the battery (rather than down a 9-tube section). The larger end of the shell is put into the tube first with the smaller labeled end to the top. The timing between the shots can be the same or varied for each shell by turning the shell. Turning the shell off center will result in a predetermined delay interval between shots.
3. Once the Blackboxx shells are loaded, the battery is ready for firing. Ignite the fuse to the first shell and your personally designed Blackboxx Shell Launching Battery will run automatically.
Note!
Before reloading the Blackboxx launching battery, make absolutely sure there is no smoldering residue in the tubes.
Cleaning
After each use, a small amount of shell debris will remain in the Blackboxx tubes. Remove the debris and wash thoroughly with water to remove any powder residue. After drying the Blackboxx battery sections are ready to be used again. After multiple uses the tubes should be cleaned with a round brush.
